Originally from the wind swept shores of Nova Scotia, Blake has worked at camps for over 15 years. During the year, he can be found planning programs, preparing for the upcoming summer and managing all things related to camp. During the summer he works alongside his camp staff team to create memories that last a lifetime.
The Camp Rangers our go to for all things camp facilities, property and maintenance. If we need it built or fixed they can do it.
Our camp cook can be found turning out some of the best camp food you have ever had. Once camp opens she starts preparing for the upcoming summer creating nutritious and hearty meal plans, baking and cooking for our rentals and camp staff.
Laura joins us this summer from another camp experience and you will her assisting in a number of areas of camp. Her main role is overseeing our summer residential camp programs and supporting the camp counselor team.
Kaelen will be at camp for her third season this year and in a new role. Joining the resource staff team she will be our eyes in the skies for all things adventure elements. She is a local chinook council rover in the southern part of Calgary. You will find her both on the ground and in the trees guiding and coaching campers and participants through all of the camp’s premium program activities. When not facilitating Kaelen supports camp with her fantastic artistic talents, creating new and exciting designs for camp.
Courtney has been at camp for a number of seasons now and continues to bring her knowledge and passion for the natural world around camp. Her new role this summer will see her delivering program at various premium activities throughout the camp. As part of the resource team she will support the summer residential camp program with all things nature and arts & crafts. This summer she will take on a new role looking after our camper's Wellness requirements.
Theo returns for his second summer at camp and excited to try something new. He will join the staff resource team with a focus on program delivery, safety, maintenance and operation of our high and low elements program activities.
Chad is never far from the waters edge of Beaver Mines Lake. He is always excited and thrilled to be helping and teaching our campers about being safe near or on the water. Whether it’s out in a canoe working on paddling strokes or keeping watch of our swim area Chad is there.. He is trained in both the pool and waterfront environments giving them the specialized knowledge we always look for at camp.
Max takes on this new role at camp bringing his experiences from his time as a scouting youth member in the council. He will be heading up the CIT program to mentor and support our young leadership campers as well as heading out on the trail on our backpacking trips.
Kevin joins us this summer as part of the staff team after a number of summers as a camper. He will be found in the kitchen helping our camp cook keeping everything clean and ready for our campers.
This will be William's second summer in the kitchen prepping, cooking and serving meals alongside our camp cook. Don't forget to ask him what his favorite food to make at camp is.
