This is a seasonal spring and summer position

The Dining Hall Steward is responsible for assisting the camp cook with food preparation, clean up and washing of dishing from within the kitchen and the dining hall at Camp Impeesa. This position will also be responsible for the daily care and cleaning of the dining hall including sweeping, mopping, general cleaning, and re-stocking of supplies.


  • 16 + years old
  • Provide a clear and clean police record check with vulnerable sector check prior to start date
  • Current Standard First Aid & CPR certification, minimum
  • Safe Food Handling certificate an asset
  • Completion or willingness to complete Scouts Canada’s online adult screening and training
  • Completion or willingness to complete the RESPECT in Sport for Activity Leaders Training at your cost
  • Comfortable living on site at camp in a rustic setting for the duration of the position
  • Able to work above and beyond an 8 hour day including evenings and weekends
  • Must be flexible and willing to accept daily and last minute changes in duties
  • Abilities in problem solving
  • Ability to spend the majority of the day standing, bending and lifting
