Originally from the wind swept shores of Nova Scotia, Blake has worked at camps for over 15 years. During the year, he can be found planning programs, preparing for the upcoming summer and managing all things related to camp. During the summer he works alongside his camp staff team to create memories that last a lifetime.
Jim is our go to guy for all things camp facilities, maintenance, and safety. If we need it built or fixed he can do it. Tracker lives at camp year round and is always working towards the next summer.
Our camp cook can be found turning out some of the best camp food you have ever had. Once camp opens she starts preparing for the upcoming summer creating nutritious and hearty meal plans, baking and cooking for our rentals and camp staff.
Zoee is never far from the waters edge of Beaver Mines Lake. She is always excited and thrilled to be helping and teaching our campers about being safe near or on the water. Whether it’s out in a canoe working on paddling strokes or keeping watch of our swim area Zoee is there. Being from Calgary she spend her time at the pool keeping up her skills and swim fitness. She is trained in both the pool and waterfront environments giving her the specialized knowledge we always look for at camp.
Kristen is back at Impeesa this season in a new role and is excited to play in the mountains for another summer. Her spirit for camp is contagious and you will find her assisting in a number of areas of camp. Her main role is overseeing our summer residential camp programs and supporting the camp counselor team. She brings solid camp experience from many summers spent in various roles at other camps as well as from her travels throughout the world.
Kaelen will be at camp for her second season this year and in a new role. Joining the resource staff team she will be our eyes in the skies for all things adventure elements. She is a local chinook council rover in the southern part of Calgary. You will find her both on the ground and in the trees guiding and coaching campers and participants through all of the camp’s premium program activities. When not facilitating Kaelen supports camp with her fantastic artistic talents, creating new and exciting designs for camp.
Courtney has been at camp for a number of seasons now and continues to bring her knowledge and passion for the natural world around camp. Her new role this summer will see her delivering program at various premium activities throughout the camp. As part of the resource team she will support the summer residential camp program with all things nature and arts & crafts.
Chad has been around at camp since he was a youth in chinook council and continues to be a part of scouting when not at camp. He will join the Impeesa resource team working directly with our camp ranger in his new role. He can be found helping keep the camp properties and grounds safe and maintained as well as making improvements and additions throughout camp. His experience in the scouting program and knowledge of camp allows him to be flexible in a variety of areas of camp.
