Camp Impeesa is at an ideal distance from Calgary that is close enough to travel for a weekend, but far enough away that it still feels like and adventure. Just 2 hours and 30 minutes from Calgary or 1 hour and 30 minutes from Lethbridge – you can drive yourself or utilize our bus service provided for summer camp residents.
Approaching from Pincher Creek (41km – 35 minutes) put “Beavers Mines Lake” into your phone or GPS and follow the 507 till you pass the village of Beaver Mines. Take the 774 and continue until you see a sign for “Beaver Mines Lake campground”. Follow the gravel road till you get to a gate and a large sign for “Camp Impeesa”.
From Calgary (242km) – the shortest route is South along Deerfoot AB-2 to Nanton, then take the route West to Chain Lakes, then South again on Cowboy Trail (AB-22). At the end of the road turn West towards Croswnest Pass (AB-33) for 6.6km then AB-507 South to Beaver Mines.
